Golf Tourism in Turkiye
Golf sport has started its operations with Istanbul Golf Club was founded in 1895. The club’s own field consisted of 12 holes. The club was registered in 1952 was linked to Turkiye Tennis Federation. The club, which operates under the name of Istanbul Golf Sports Specialization Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in the world, hosts various tournaments today and continues its existence as a natural park in the middle of Istanbul as a sports club in contemporary norms.
Golf Sport history with such a wide audience in Turkiye has not spread to the old leaning possible, it was limited to a small group of golfers. During the Turgut Özal (President of Turkiye) Period, projects around Antalya were initiated with the support of experts and their immediate surroundings that led to Golf Tourism to begin today.
